It's been awhile since I've been here.

I remember back when I couldn't imagine ever leaving this blog or deleting it. I won't delete it because this blog was a part of me growing up. It still is, although with the freedom to express myself being censored, I've gotten less attached to blogging and more attached to thinking.

Yep, keeping thoughts to myself rather than getting into online feuds. Stupid stuff. But anyway, quick update.

Photography has been pretty much a negative linear graph. Enough said. Is linear right?

y=mx+c

That's pretty much all I can remember. So the most exciting thing which happened to me recently was going for Vermillion's EP launch. It was for the Event Photography assignment so I couldn't fully concentrate on the music.

The music was definitely loud though. I spent most of the gig standing next to the speakers. The organisers must have thought everyone was deaf because it was so loud. I actually got a massive headache halfway through the set and got a little dizzy.

I got my shots though and left the venue with massive ringing in my ears. Like really bad. The EP launch was on a Saturday night, the ringing only completely disappeared on Monday. Saw Utt from MTV there. I think it was his label which signed Vermillion? Not sure. Got a photo of him but sadly, it's really grainy.

I was taking a photo of him when he suddenly decided to make a funny face. I snapped too fast. So I caught the pre-funny face. Kinda like the wind changed as he was making a face.

Before I could snap again he disappeared. He's not very tall but he does have a certain presence about him. And yes, that massive shadow on his shirt is me raising my arm to snap the shot.

And yes, the photo is grainy because I was stupid and didn't set my camera properly so I had to pump the ISO really high for the entire gig. The final photos are on my school flickr account.

So yep, that's the only like really interesting thing happening. Oh, and the Youth Olympic Games. I volunteered for it, got selected (well practically everyone who signed up and could write decently got in) and saw Mark Richmond in the YOG office. Shiva and I were so stunned that when he smiled at us we just gave him blank stares. When we turned to each other to gawk, Don was like,"HUH THAT WAS MARK RICHMOND MEH?"

Best.
